Meet Heather

"Hi, I'm Heather. I am a proud mom of four from Southern California. I am making a career change from cosmetology to dental assisting and possibly dental hygiene. I have been a stay at home mom for the last seven years. I enjoy paddle boarding, baking, cooking, and spending time with my family."

Heather is a warm and kind student. She truly cares about her career and has possible future goals as an rdh. We are grateful for her presence.

Meet Jacob

"Hi! My name is Jacob. I'm a returned missionary and student at Weber State. I dislike the social norm of only rich people getting access to good healthcare, so I hope to do my part in offering my hand to those who can go unnoticed.
My goals in dentistry are to learn the different aspects and fields of dentistry, apply for and learn lots in dental school, practice dentistry closely with others professionals, and assist underserved populations in the community, hopefully other nations!"
So glad to have Jacob be part of our program. We wish him success and a great career ahead in dental assisting and dental school.

Meet Carrie

"Im from Wisconsin, I am a BYU sophomore with hopes of becoming a dental hygienist. I love everything adventure such as hiking and kayaking. I started dental assisting as a way to know if dental hygiene is truly something I want to do and also its a great way of building connections for the dental field."

Grateful to meet Carrie and loved having her as a student at UVDA. She recently finished her internship hours and we wish the best for her. Utah

"Something about me: I've always worked in health care and I love people!

Where I'm from: South Weber Utah

Hobbies: hiking, travel, shopping, and spending time with friends and family

Dental journey: my sister became a dental assistant and she fell totally in love with it, so I gave it a shot and I love it too!

Dental goals: dental assisting and possibly going into dental hygiene

Camree: an amazing teacher who is caring and so much fun! She explains things clearly and truly cares about getting hands on experience and learning the important details in dental

Program: easy to sign up and get started quickly"
