🛠️ Summer Learning Through Building! ☀️

Looking for an easy, screen-free activity that helps your preschooler learn? Head to Lowe’s and pick up one of their Build & Grow kits! These simple hands-on projects are a fun way to keep little minds busy while building important early learning skills.

No kit? No problem! Gather some cardboard boxes, paper towel rolls, popsicle sticks, bottle caps, or any safe scraps you have around the house and challenge your child to create their own masterpiece. Their imagination is the only limit!

As your child builds, they’re strengthening:
🧩 Problem-solving skills
✋ Fine motor skills
👀 Hand-eye coordination
📏 Early math and spatial awareness
💪 Patience and perseverance
🗣️ Listening and following directions
🎨 Creativity and imagination
✨ Confidence and independence

The best learning happens through play. This summer, grab some building supplies—whether from Lowe’s or your recycling bin—and watch your little builder learn, create, and grow one project at a time!

What will your preschooler build first? We’d love to see their creations! 🏡🔨

🎲 SUMMER Game of the Week: LCR Wild! 🎲

Learning through play is one of the best ways preschoolers build important life skills, and LCR Wild is a family favorite!

While kids are having fun, they’re also strengthening:
✨ Left and right directionality
✨ Number and symbol recognition
✨ Listening and following directions
✨ Turn-taking and patience
✨ Attention and focus
✨ Working memory and executive functioning
✨ Early math concepts like counting and one-to-one correspondence
✨ Coping with winning and losing with confidence and kindness

Every roll of the dice encourages children to think, “Which way is left? Which way is right?”—making directionality feel natural through repetition and play.

Simple games like LCR Wild show children that learning doesn’t always happen at a table—it happens through laughter, family time, and play.

At our preschool, we love finding playful ways to build the skills children need for school and beyond. 💚

🌿 Summer Game Idea: Nature Detectives! 🔎🍃

All you need is a clipboard, pencil, some crayons, and your little explorer!

Head outside for a nature walk and collect interesting treasures along the way—leaves, flowers, acorns, feathers, pinecones, or anything that catches their eye. When you get home (or find a shady spot outside), invite your child to draw everything they discovered.

This simple activity encourages observation, creativity, language development, and early science skills while helping children slow down and connect with the world around them.

Sometimes the best summer adventures are the simplest ones. 💚

☀️ Summer Learning Through Play! 🎲

Looking for a simple game to enjoy as a family this summer? We love Spot It! because it’s fun, fast-paced, and packed with learning opportunities!

We believe children learn best through play. While matching pictures and racing to find the same symbol, children are practicing important skills they use every day in the classroom, including:
🌟 Careful observation
🌟 Focus and attention
🌟 Visual discrimination
🌟 Quick thinking and problem-solving
🌟 Memory
🌟 Taking turns, patience, and good sportsmanship
🌟 Executive functioning skills like self-control, flexible thinking, and paying attention

Best of all, it’s a wonderful way to spend quality time together, build confidence, and create lasting family memories.

Learning doesn’t stop when summer begins—it simply looks a little more like laughter, games, and time spent together. Happy playing! ❤️

Parent Involvement Makes Our Days Extra Special! 💚

One of the things we love most at our preschool is when parents become part of our day. Whether you’re joining us for free play, sharing a favorite story, leading a special craft, or simply spending time in the classroom, your presence means so much to our children.

Parent involvement helps strengthen the connection between home and school while creating meaningful memories and learning experiences for everyone. The smiles on the children’s faces when they see their family members participating are truly priceless!

Thank you to all of our wonderful families for sharing your time, talents, and love with our school community. We always look forward to welcoming you into our classroom! 🏫📚🎨❤️
