Our music department staff are creating and promoting so many collaborative and enriching experiences for students from joint concerts with universities, to Solo & Ensemble, clinicians, travel, community service activities, the list goes on. The Varsity Football Homecoming game is Rockets vs the Cudahy Packers, a longstanding rivalry. The game begins at 7 at Spaltholz Field, we will start setting up at 5:45 p.m. and stay until 9:30.
I need 2-3 people to help sell concessions for academic music funds for South Milwaukee 6-12 campus. The air is open and is a great opportunity to help kids experience the joy of music.

The South Milwaukee Music Parents Association is running a concession stand at the Varsity Football Games this Season. Our first game is this Friday. It is outside with plenty of open-air and we will have masks available for those who want or need one.

The researcher of this study found, "that highly engaged music students, those that had taken three or four music classes during high school, were one year ahead in their English, science, and math skills compared to peers who had not taken any music classes."

It is the course selection season.

Remember, you can take music and still plan for a career different than music. You can also be in sports or other activities and music. Colleges love to see diverse prospective students applying to their institutions.

Kudos to Kremlin-Hillsdale on their fantastic band picture. You don't have to choose between playing sports or participating in fine arts. It is possible (and should be encouraged) to take advantage of as many opportunities as your school offers. Great job KHS !!!
