Promoting the magic within us, wonder, and discovery. Connection to the soul with the earth.

Our Parent–Child classes are a gentle space for connection. Here, caregivers and children share songs, stories, movement, simple work, and moments like these of joy and simply being together in nature nurturing the bond between them. In the warmth of rhythm and community, small moments of presence become the threads that strengthen the relationship between parent and child.

You are warmly invited to a women’s Forest Bath for a moment of connection to ourselves, regeneration and to support Sunrise School of Miami, the only Waldorf school in our city.

Fifty percent of the proceeds from this gathering will directly benefit the school’s journey toward a new permanent home. One rooted in stability, beauty, and belonging. This home will offer generations of children and families a place where learning is not only academically intensive, but deeply human.

In a world that is moving quickly and often feels fragmented, Waldorf education offers something profoundly healing: a reverence for childhood, a cultivation of compassion and empathy, and a path toward self-knowledge, purpose, and connection. Our city, and our world desperately need spaces where community is nurtured, where families feel they belong, and where something meaningful is being built to live on.

By joining us, you are helping plant seeds of permanence, care, and intention. Supporting an education that honors the whole human being and strengthens the social fabric of our community.

Come walk, breathe, and take a moment to nurture yourself while nurturing Waldorf education in our city. Be part of something that will continue to serve many families for years to come.

Simply noticing the rhythms and the many pulsating ways we are interconnected. Rain became part of our morning activities this winter class. Here an opportunity for our senses, for resilience, discovery and joy became available not only for the children but the adults involved.

In these gatherings, we create a sanctuary of spaciousness—where mothers can breathe deeply, connect with their own inner rhythms, and find balance amidst the sacred work of nurturing their children. Our time together is devoted to supporting the unfolding uprightness of the young child, who instinctively reaches toward the light with trust and wonder.

Guided by Waldorf inspired principles, we weave gentle rituals, songs, and moments of shared stillness to nurture both mother and child. This is a space of reverence, connection, and support for your sacred journey together.

From a Waldorf inspired perspective, conscious parenting ‘discipline’ is fundamentally an adult path of development, not a pedagogical task for the young child. I see many well intended parents practicing this modern style of discipline with younger children, and many are surprised when I mention that the aim, method and view of the child differ from a Waldorf discipline inspired approach. Yes, at the core both methods the focus is on the parents self awareness but then they begin to take a different path.

In the first septennial the child lives primarily in the physical body and the will. They learn through imitation, sensory experience, and the feeling of being held in a trustworthy world not through reflection, explanation, or self-awareness.

Bringing adult forms of consciousness such as verbal processing, emotional analysis, or self-observation into early childhood asks the child to step out of their natural state of becoming. This can place undue burden on the child’s developing forces and may lead to confusion or overwhelm. The young child should not be asked to carry awareness; rather, they should be protected from it.

In this phase, consciousness rightly belongs to the adult.

The parent’s task is to cultivate inner clarity, self-discipline, and moral imagination, and to shape the child’s environment through rhythm, repetition, and healthy boundaries. Through the adult’s gestures, tone, and way of meeting life, the child absorbs orientation and security.

When the adult stands consciously and responsibly in their role, the child is free to surrender to childhood—to move, to play, to imitate, and to grow in harmony with their stage of development. In this way, the adult carries the consciousness so the child does not yet have to.

Witnessing this pumpkin village is such a joy! Each glowing home tells a story — of creation, care, and hands working side by side. We came together once again to carve more than pumpkins; there was joy, warmth, and the bright truth that magic is real when shared! 🧡✨

Before the age of 7 children don’t yet think about their feelings or intentions, they live them! Learning for them happens through movement, imitation, rhythm, and simply just doing. The tasks children partake in early childhood classrooms with this understanding, emphasize activities that become expressions of the will life in harmony and form. This unfolding happens inn a beautiful and natural process that begins in early childhood from action, to feeling, to awareness.

Lap stories are not just entertainment, but a pedagogical and developmental tool that serves as a quiet form of “medicine” for the young child’s inner life. Small children experience the world through imitation and feeling, lap stories/puppet stories gives the child a sense of security. These stories are intentionally slow and simple, so the child can embody the story in a way that is digestible for their inner life. Young children don’t yet need abstract explanations, rather they need images that nourish them. The gestures in these stories leave space for the child’s imagination to work while the story is being told and even days after.

Magic happens in story time!✨
