I love this site

A child who collaborates with a solution to a problem is simply more invested—even adults feel that way. When we’re given choices and a voice in the process we feel like we have more power to make changes.

Examples:
Your 10 year old breaks the tv remote and you say: “How are you going to make this right?” [vs “You just lost screen-time for a week”] OR Your teen has been spending too much time on social media and you say: “I’ve noticed you are spending a lot of time on Instagram lately, and I don’t think it’s working
well—you’re not sleeping well and you’re not engaging with our family . What are your thoughts on solving this problem?” vs. “That’s it. This is too much and no more screen time after 8pm.”

We will open today but will not be going outside!! Please no parents coming in the classroom at drop off or pick up, except infant cubs class, we want to minimize the amount the doors are open n closed. If you can walk up with several families please do and allow them all in quickly. Doors may be locked please knock so teacher can hold door barely open for kids to enter. We will be communicating in the days to come about the heavy smoke, no recess, and such. If you are able to pick up early on these days it's greatly appreciated and helps the teachers out a ton. Thank you so much.

We can relax, parents. It is not a race. Faster is not better. Earlier is not better. Being “advanced” is not better.

Instead, observe. Be curious. Enjoy. Support your child as they grow in their own timing.

10 years ago, I was blessed to open our doors at Jubilee. We have had the most amazing families, parents, and teachers walk through our doors. Even after the struggles of Covid we stand strong and continue our journey. Thank you South Lake Tahoe Community for showing us so much love and so many supporting our business.
