Something I learned: This was the trip that showed me I could be a dentist. Working with the people there, and watching the treatment being performed showed me that I could do this every day for most of my life and love it.

What outreach meana to me: To me outreach is going above and beyond to provide care to people with limited access or resources. As amazing as it was to go to the Dominican Republic and serve the people there, outreach doesn't have to be in a different country. There are plenty of people in the United States that have limited access to care, or limited resources whose lives would change by receiving treatment.

Hello Everyone! For the second year in a row, national ASDA is coordinating a challenge among all ASDA chapters to collect the most items of clothing and nonperishable food items! At the end of the challenge, all collected items will be donated to our local food pantry or homeless shelter, the Midvale Family Center.

What's in it for you? The winning class will be awarded $100!

The bins are located on the 4th floor breakout rooms and the D1 classroom. Please sign your name on the sheet with the number of bags and please label your donation item with your name. We would like to announce our “Letters To The Elderly” community service project! We are supporting the “Love For Our Elders”, a non-profit Volunteer-based organization that combats social isolation with handwritten letters.

We are asking our colleagues to dedicate 20-40 minutes of your time to write a thoughtful one-time letter exchange to an isolated elderly who are living in senior facilities.
