So about those wrist manipulations and cavaliers... I recognize this could upset a lot of people, but the fact of the matter is they're just not that great (in my humble opinion) --- or at least as good as the other options available to you. When defending an edged weapon there are about 435932 things that need to happen before I would do a cavalier. Control of the weapon arm, 2on1, a LOT of striking...the cavalier should be the very last thing that you do IF you even need to do it.
