Mr. Iglio, who runs the Father's Guild at Saint Anthony High School and an amazing host at our international program, has recently shared with us a wonderful story while attending New York Islanders game Sunday night. 💯

“As we walked into the new arena a woman who worked for the team notice all the students. When she found out that we had SA students from Brazil, Italy, Spainorea, she upgraded us to the Islanders VIP suite, gave us Islanders hats, and then they announced to the arena “We have new Islanders fans from Brazil, Italy, Spain,& Korea!” and then put us up on the scoreboard. Everyone in the coliseum was pointing and cheering for us. It was great the kids loved it.”

Happy New Year! During the winter break, our international student Juan was warmly welcome to his host family's holiday celebration and enjoyed cozy family gatherings as well as some American holiday traditions.

We're thankful for our host families who welcome Juan and many other international students into their homes and make their study abroad experience so much more special.

We are looking for reliable, loving, host families willing to open their homes to international students. Host families are the backbone of a student’s successful experience abroad, and the benefits are mutual. Hosts providea multi-cultural perspective into their home and most likely gain a long term ‘son’ or ‘daughter’.
Many of our hosts have kept in touch with their students for years. As hosts provide our students’ home away from home, we are dedicated to finding families that make our students feel safe and supported. A key quality of a host is flexibility to a student’s unique needs, interests, and understanding of the adjustment to American life. Students are looking for a real American experience!

Host families need to provide 2 meals/day M-F and 3 on weekends and holidays.
