We have a couple of new openings!

Limited 3- & 4-day slots become available as early as September 15th! A 5-day opening, Monday–Friday, will be available in October!

Our Learning Garden is a licensed mixed-age childcare that serves toddlers, preschoolers, and school-age children. We believe children should be well-rounded, exposed to cultural experiences, and taught practical skills, manners, and engaged in S.T.E.A.M. learning, which is intentionally woven into play, exploration, and daily experiences.

Meals, snacks, field trips, seasonal gear, diapers/wipes, and many everyday necessities are already provided because we know families have enough to remember. ❤️

DCYF/State Subsidy accepted • Currently serving ages 2–9 • Full-day (9.5 hrs), partial-day (5 hrs), and school-age care available.

A little more room is opening at our Learning Garden! 🍂

After keeping my program Tuesday–Friday for quite some time, I’ve decided to open Mondays beginning in October, which means I’ll now be able to welcome a few families needing a 5-day schedule!

Right now: Limited 3 & 4-day openings are available immediately.
Beginning October: 5-day Monday–Friday enrollment will be available.

We’re a small-group, S.T.E.A.M.-focused program where learning is intentionally woven into play, exploration, and everyday experiences. 📚💕

Meals, snacks, field trips, seasonal gear, diapers/wipes, and many of those little everyday necessities are already taken care of...because families have enough to remember. 💛

DCYF/State Subsidy accepted • Ages 2–12 • Full-Day, Partial-Day & School-Age Care Enrollment Available.

I’ve been focusing more on fine motor skills with my daycare children lately. 🖐️💜 These little skills are SO important for writing, cutting, dressing, using utensils and overall independence.

It’s also something children naturally get less of as technology becomes a bigger part of childhood.

Us 80s/90s babies were making mud pies, drawing in the dirt with sticks, making friendship bracelets, building with LEGO, cutting up magazines, folding paper airplanes, digging for worms and playing with Play-Doh. We were constantly pinching, squeezing, twisting, cutting, digging and building without even realizing we were developing those little hand muscles.

If your little techy baby isn’t into mud pies and getting dirty, like many of my new-age little ones 😂... start simple!

Make some playdough and put THEM in the pilot seat. Let them scoop, measure, pour, mix, squeeze and knead it themselves. A little mess, a lot of fun, and plenty of learning happening along the way.

😂 Old MacDonald’s farm was a little more exciting than I had remembered…

I love looking back at moments like this because we were having a ball with this one. 😂

A classic rhyme with a twist turned into a story full of fun predictions, problem-solving, singing, silly animal sounds, and eventually making up our own stories.

Proof that learning through play can get a little dramatic. 🐷🐮🦒🦁

July has been a total GEM! ✨️

This month our learners dug deep as we explored how geodes are formed, pretended to be miners, and sifted through “riverbeds” in search of sparkling treasures. We even took a virtual trip through the Pacific Museum of Earth in Canada to see real minerals and geological wonders up close. Plus everyone got to handle real geodes and unique stones Ms. ’Letta collected from her adventures.

Our learners enjoyed great books, games, and hands‑on activities, from rock‑paper‑scissors battles to searching the yard for the perfect stones to paint and transform into our new rock buddies. July has been packed with discovery and fun.

GEMS, ROCKS, MINERALS & STONES is always a favorite theme, and this year reminded us exactly why… there’s just so much to explore!
