🌎 Mrs. Hazlewood's 3rd grade class has been busy learning about the seven continents and five oceans! 🌍

Students put their learning into action by creating their very own globes. They did a wonderful job identifying and placing the continents and oceans while having fun along the way.
We are so proud of their hard work and creativity!

✨ Mrs. Drohan’s Class is on the Move! ✨

Kindergarteners know how to work hard and play hard! 💪📚🎈

This week, Mrs. Drohan’s class stayed busy learning, moving, and having fun! They headed to the gym for some bike riding, getting those little bodies moving and those smiles growing! 🚲

Also earlier this week they enjoyed time in the library with some balloon games! 🎈 The students worked together to keep their balloons floating and off the floor. It took teamwork, coordination, quick reactions, and lots of laughter! 😄

Work hard. Play hard. Have fun. 💛

🎨 Grand Masterpieces 💕

What a special morning in our preschool classrooms! Ms. Saylor and Ms James’ classes were so excited to welcome their Grandparents and Grandfriends, show them around their classrooms, introduce them to their teachers, and enjoy a snack together.

Then came the sweetest part: painting together! 🎨 Each child had the opportunity to create a special masterpiece alongside their grandparent or grandfriend! ❤️

We are so thankful for our wonderful Grandfriends from First Baptist Church, who volunteered their time to be here today. Your kindness helped make sure every child felt included and special. 💕

And to all of the grandparents who joined us, THANK YOU for being part of our morning and making it extra special for our preschoolers! 🥰

🎨 Spotlighting Our Kindergarten Artists! 🖌️

Today, their room was buzzing with creativity as they explored how a single mark can transform into something magical. ⚫️

They started by reading the book The Dot by Peter H. Reynolds, learning how a little girl named Vashti discovered her artistic confidence by starting with just one small dot.

Next, they looked at Color Study: Squares with Concentric Circles by Wassily Kandinsky to see how a famous historical artist used big, colorful rings to express feelings and energy.

Using both the book and Kandinsky's famous painting as our inspiration, our kindergarteners became master abstract artists! 🧑‍🎨🖼️

⚫️ Make Your Mark! 🎨

Ms. James’ class celebrated Dot Day Inspired by The Dot by Peter H. Reynolds. After hearing the story, our little artists explored all the different ways they could make their own mark!

Using dotters, balloons, crayons, markers, paint, and more, the students created unique art and discovered that art doesn’t have to look the same for everyone. 🖌️✨

Just like Vashti learned in The Dot, sometimes all it takes is one little mark to get started.

🦁💵 Lion Dollars in Action! 💵🦁

Today was shopping day in Mrs. Monroe’s class! 🎉 Throughout the month, students work hard to earn Lion Dollars each day. Once a month, they get the chance to spend their hard-earned money at our class store! 🛍️

But there’s a lot more happening than just shopping! Students are learning important real-world skills as they decide whether to spend or save their Lion Dollars. They practice adding up the cost of their purchases, making sure they have enough money, making choices within a budget, and understanding the value of saving for something they may want later.

It’s a fun way to bring together math, money skills, decision-making, and economics—all while celebrating their hard work and positive choices! 🧮💰🌟

Learning + shopping = a pretty fun day in 2nd grade! 🦁❤️

Our preschoolers joined in honoring Patriot Day by wearing their red, white, and blue as well! 🇺🇸

In their classrooms, our little learners talked about the American flag and community helpers (real-life heroes) who show courage, serve others, and help keep our communities safe. ❤️🤍💙

While our youngest students may be too little to understand all that happened 25 years ago, we can begin teaching them about courage, kindness, gratitude, and the heroes who helped others. ❤️🇺🇸

Today, our elementary students honored Patriot Day by wearing red, white, and blue as we remembered September 11, 2001.

The students had a special chapel service and each student carried a flag and placed it in front of the church. 🇺🇸

May we always remember the lives that were lost, the heroes who served, and the countless acts of courage and kindness that followed. Most importantly, may we continue to teach our children to remember, serve with kindness, and pray for our nation.

🇺🇸 “Blessed is the nation whose God is the Lord.” — Psalm 33:12 🇺🇸
