Parenting is hard. Parenting is uncomfortable. We have to feel all the feels as parents, so our kids can know how to handle all the feels. It ain’t easy! But it’s SO worth it in the long run. Don’t parent for making today easier, parent for their lifelong success. If you don’t go to bed exhausted as a parent every night, you’re not doing it right.

I think each stage that you’re in is hard. Each one has different rewards and different challenges. But they’re right, it certainly doesn’t get easier. It gets different. And with each stage, they phase further away from you and into themselves. The most important thing to be present for them and let them be themselves within each stage. And that’s what’s not easy!

I feel this to my core as I send my 2nd of 3 to college. It's just a new kind of hard as they get older. Hugs to all the mamas out there! ❤️
