About the Program:

Program Information for the Boot Camp Sessions

These sessions are designed to provide an intensive and in-depth experience for serious students aged 15-30. Each participant receives 8 full hour lessons and has the opportunity to perform in a master class and audit three other masterclasses in any given session. Please note: All participants receive instruction through private lessons and/or master classes from all teachers for their instrument in any given session. All participants will be sent a list of suggested repertoire to prepare several weeks before the beginning of the program in order to fully take advantage of what the program has to offer. The masterclasses are repertoire-based and specific topics/repertoire will be decided on during the spring of 2021. All participants will then be informed of the topics and repertoire so they can prepare adequately before the start of the program. Here are some topics for masterclasses given in 2020, to give potential 2021 applicants a general idea of what they can expect (some topics in 2021 will be similar to the ones in 2020 and some will be new):

FLUTE: Mozart Concerti, Standard Orchestral excerpts, Debussy - Syrinx, Music by French Composers, Telemann Fantasies, Solo Flute repertoire by J.S. Bach, Contemporary Repertoire for Solo Flute

CLARINET: Standard Orchestral Excerpts, Weber Concertino, Brahms Sonatas, Mozart Concerto, Debussy Premiere Rhapsody, Stravinsky Three Pieces

VIOLIN: Romantic Concerti, Mozart Concerti, Lyrical Encore Pieces, Etudes by French Composers, Solo Works by J.S. Bach, Brahms Violin Sonatas

CELLO: Haydn Concerti, The Works of Robert Schumann, Romantic Concerti, Middle and Late Beethoven Sonatas, Solo Bach Suites, Lyrical Encore Pieces, Brahms Sonatas
