As the application deadline approaches we offer "Why you should come to ARIA - Reason #2"
Flexible Schedule!
While many music festivals create jam packed schedules for participants, including rehearsals and set practice times and lengths, ARIA allows for more independent scheduling. Other than lessons, masterclasses, and meal times students have the freedom to carve out each day's schedule in a way that works best for them. Are you a 5 hour a day practicer - ARIA is for you! Do you enjoy a run and musical warm-up routine before breakfast, ARIA is for you! Do you prefer to start your day of music after coming to breakfast in PJs? Then ARIA is for you!
Set personal goals and work to accomplish them over the course of two weeks at ARIA 🎶

Reason #3 why YOU should come to ARIA - Talk to the Pros!
At the end of each session students and faculty gather together for "Talk to the Pros". This Q&A offers students an opportunity to ask faculty questions about life in music. Questions from the past have included "how do you win an audition", "what do you do when you don't win an audition", "how can you have a family and musical career at the same time", and "what is your daily practice routine".
"Talk to the Pros" is a unique feature of ARIA allowing faculty to widen their mentorship across instruments and students to receive valuable advice not usually given in private lessons or masterclasses.

In addition to all that South Hadley has to offer, ARIA students have the opportunity to engage in lots of different extracurriculars outside of music! There is an on campus greenhouse to explore (for free!) 🌱, student-run soccer matches ⚽️, game nights 🃏, a horse stable 🐎, and more!

#6 - Students receive 8 private lessons with world class faculty during the course of each two week session!
One of the main features of ARIA is how much 1:1 instruction students receive. Our bootcamps are designed to help students develop and hone technical and musical skills at the highest level. Our faculty are world renown orchestral musicians, chamber musicians, and soloists in addition to being outstanding pedagogues.
Our bootcamps are open to flutists, clarinetists, violinists, and cellists. For information on age requirements, faculty, dates, and more visit ariaacademy.com

Reason #7 to attend ARIA: Meal times!
Here at ARIA, we have access to Mount Holyoke’s amazing cafeteria for Breakfast, Lunch, and Dinner (included as part of tuition)! There is a fresh salad bar, multiple entree choices, vegan/vegetarian options, desserts, and even ice cream every night!
The best part about meal times, however, is the company 🎻 Sharing meals together is one way our students get to know eachother outside of class!
Come to ARIA for a musically expansive summer…and some great food, too! 🍴

"10 Reasons You Should Come to ARIA"
#8 - You will meet people and make friends!
Over the past 40 years ARIA participants have traveled from 40 states (including Alaska and Hawaii) and 15 different countries. This summer our faculty will represent 25 different institutions of higher learning. That is a lot of people to meet and connections to make!
We have even had students meet at ARIA and then go on to get married! It's not a trend, but it's certainly a fun fact 🥰
