Smith's Historic Run Ends in National Semifinal - Smith College Athletics HARTFORD, CT - The Smith College basketball team's historic season came to an end in the NCAA Division III semifinals Saturday night. The No. 4 Pioneers fell to No. 2 Transylvania 76-65 in the Final Four at Ray Oosting Gymnasium on the campus of Trinity College.

The admission team had a roarin’ time at yesterday’s “Event Under the Tent” to celebrate the Mount Holyoke staff! We could not be prouder of Carolyn Dietel, Director of the Frances Perkins Program and Transfer Admission, who was honored for 45 years of service to the College. Carolyn is pictured here with our beloved mascot Paws, and Admission Counselor Clarissa Soma Gonçalves Cordeiro FP ‘21.

Also celebrated yesterday for their service milestones were Emily Allyn, Senior Associate Director of Admission, for 25 years; Catarina Costa, Director of US Admission and Christina Dorozynski, Associate Director of Enrollment Marketing and Communications, for 15 years; and Heidi Merrill, Associate Director of Admission, Michelle Barrett, Admission Coordinator, and Lisa Kramer, Assistant to the Vice President of Enrollment, for 5 years.
