Notre Dame College, founded in 1922 by the Sisters of Notre Dame, educates a diverse population in the liberal arts for personal, professional, and global responsibility. Over the years, Notre Dame always embraced the challenge of adapting to the changing needs of its students and has seen many changes. In 2001, NDC admitted men paving the way for continuous growth of the College through the addit

ion of both new programs and athletics. Since then, enrollment has risen to a record high of almost 2,000 students. This growth can be attributed to our career-oriented liberal arts programs that help students succeed in the real world. We offer bachelor's degrees in 29 majors, with interdisciplinary programs and self-designed majors, and exceptional programs in education, business and science. Our athletic program has also grown tremendously over the past 10 years. Today, the Falcons participate in 23 men’s and women’s intercollegiate sports in the American Mideast Conference of the National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics (NAIA). In July 2009, NDC announced that a membership application for NCAA Division II had been approved. Notre Dame began the 2010-11 academic year as a Candidacy Year-Two Institution in the NCAA Division II membership process. Above all, the College strives to provide a mission-focused, values-based, private Catholic education to students who might otherwise not have access to such an experience. Our mission is to be faithful to the College’s Catholic heritage and identity. It is to be faithful to the charisma of the Sisters of Notre Dame, who sought to provide a student-centered education characterized by excellence.

As a designated teach-out institution for Notre Dame College, Franklin University’s School of Education is committed to helping NDC students finish their education degrees within the same timeframe and for the same (or less) cost.

Franklin has created a seamless teach-out plan so NDC students are able to transfer all NCD credits to stay on track toward graduation. In addition to ensuring the best for NDC students, Franklin’s School of Education is working closely with NDC’s education faculty to guarantee their transition is as smooth as possible.

With over 300 P-12 Franklin partner schools in the state of Ohio, the University is focused on the success of NDC’s students and their valuable clinical field experience and clinical student teaching.
