Registration for the 2026 Elgin Mariachi Education Workshop is NOW OPEN! Whether you are new to Mariachi entirely or a seasoned Mariachi educator, a preservice teacher in college or a veteran music educator--this workshop is for you! The workshop runs Monday through Friday, June 8-12, from 7:30am-4:30pm daily. Illinois Professional Development hours are provided for up to 40 hours for the week (based on sign-in/-out information). Participants will receive technical exercises and repertoire that you can turn around and use this year with your students, as well as resources and instruction on all of the standard Mariachi instruments and voice throughout the week, which culminates in a community performance. There are two different registration price points - a professional rate and a preservice/collegiate rate.
