SCHS- Engineering and Robotics

Had a great time at States and now we can officially day goodbye to the season. Spice Girls were 9th seed going into elimination rounds and were beat by the Tournament Champions in the quarter finals.
We are excited for the Capital High team who did get a World's bid for their Skills score!

Regular robotics season has come to an end with a high note for Spice Girls winning Design Award! Although I didn't get any pictures (other than this one that I stole-thanks Megan Grose) since I was called last minute to referee, I'm super proud of the growth from this season.

Now it's the time that some will start prepping for next season while the other team prepares for States on the 8th!

We had a great time in Bristol! We knew it would be a learning experience coming in and the girls left with a list of things to elevate their bot.
They did receive a second interview which signifies that they were top contenders for at least one award, so they are on the right path

Now we're ready for the weekend!

Spice Girls are here at Bots art Bristol at Bristol Speedway along with 100 other teams some of which traveled from China and California!

Proud of my girls for the event they ran and partnering up with our National Honor Society as well. We hope those who made it were about to grow more confident in their robotics skills and left with an overall feeling of female empowerment!

Can't wait to see our middle schoolers tomorrow! Be safe coming in!

Thanks so much for WVU Extension coming down to bring a new pilot program: Supply Chain Management! We're looking forward to learning more about this with Toyota Motor Manufacturing in the spring!

Great competition with KCS today. Spice Girls teamed up with Mercer County today and came out Tournament Champions securing their spot at States.
They also received Design Award which acknowledges their documentation skills in their notebook.
Also, shout out to Savannah for her personal award acknowledging her helping spirit in robotics

It was a rough day at WVU today but every day is a learning experience and it's always nice for the girls' hard work to be recognized.
