Today, we celebrate West Virginia Day and the proud history of the Mountain State.
On June 20, 1863, West Virginia became the 35th state admitted to the Union, forging a unique path in American history and establishing a legacy of resilience, innovation, and determination.
At the West Virginia Regional Technology Park, we're proud to be part of that legacy. Every day, our campus is home to innovators, researchers, entrepreneurs, and industry leaders who are helping shape the future of West Virginia's economy and workforce.
As we celebrate our state's birthday, we also celebrate the people, businesses, and partnerships that continue to drive progress across the Mountain State.
Happy West Virginia Day! 💙💛

It’s field trip season at the Tech Park! 🚌
This week, local fourth and fifth grade students visited our Science on a Sphere Exhibit and toured the weather forecasting offices of US National Weather Service Charleston WV located here at the Tech Park☀️🌎
Experiences like these give young people across our region the opportunity to explore STEM, ask questions, spark curiosity, and imagine future careers in science, technology, engineering, and innovation. Watching students engage with real-world data and global science concepts is a powerful reminder of why educational opportunities like this matter so much.
We’re proud to help make STEM learning accessible, engaging, and memorable for the next generation. 🚀

🌎 Happy Earth Day from the West Virginia Regional Technology Park!
Our Science on a Sphere® brings our planet to life — displaying real-time weather patterns, climate data, and global systems on a six-foot animated globe. It’s one of the many ways we connect students, educators, and our community to the science of Earth and the importance of protecting it.
This Earth Day, we’re reminded that understanding our planet is the first step in caring for it. 🌍
