Manon had her STATE FINALIST Agriscience Fair interview yesterday… from London (England)!! We are so grateful for the technology to allow her to compete while her family is out visiting family and exploring the world! 🌎

Could her FFA jacket be the most well-traveled? It’s now been to the Netherlands, Ireland, and England! 🤓

We are so proud of Manon’s hard work and dedication to her Social Science Division 3 project titled “Consumer Behavior Toward Milk Products: A Review of Preferences for Dairy and Plant-Based Options!” Now we wait for state convention to learn her final results! 🐮🌱

🚨 Breaking News!!! 🚨

🐄 Yesterday, seventh grader Chase Call represented the chapter as our only Dairy Judging individual at the state contest…. And he WON the middle school STATE contest!! 👏🏼

🐮 The Dairy Evaluation CDE tasks members with analyzing sets of cows and heifers of all the dairy cattle breeds for structure, dairy character, and performance. Chase sure knows his dairy cattle! CONGRATULATIONS, Chase!! 🥇

In the chaos of construction & parking navigation today at the state fairgrounds, Mrs. Simpson totally forgot to take a photo 😕 BUT today we had five members representing the chapter at the Ohio FFA State Spring Judging contests! 📋

🐖 🐮 General Livestock competitors included Amethyst Brown, Carson Daulton, Jaxon Crawford & Delaney Hiser!

🐴 Kylan Pendleton was our brave/lone Equine Management participant!

We won’t have results for a few days, but want to congratulate these members for stepping outside of their comfort zone and committing to the state contest! They got up early and gave up the first part of their spring break, showing huge commitment to the chapter & the 3-Circle Model of Ag Education. 👏🏼

🎉🐄 Big Congratulations to Manon! 🐄🎉

We are proud to celebrate Manon for being named a State FFA Agriscience Fair Finalist in Social Systems, Division III! 👏🌟

The FFA Agriscience Fair is a competitive event within the National FFA Organization that highlights student-led scientific research in agriculture. Students design and conduct experiments to address real-world issues, combining science, data, and agriculture to make meaningful discoveries. 🧪🌱

Manon’s project explored milk consumption trends among students and staff at Southeastern Junior & Senior High School. 🥛 Her research used surveys to compare preferences between dairy and plant-based milk options and examine why people make those choices.

📊 Her study highlights how consumer preferences directly impact agricultural markets, helping both dairy and plant-based industries better understand and respond to demand.

Way to go, Manon! Your hard work, research skills, and dedication to agricultural science are making a difference! 💙💛

🌟 Invitational results are in! 👏🏼

Our FFA members have been stepping outside their comfort zones and into the judging ring this spring! Over the past few weeks, students have competed in several invitational Career Development Event (CDE) contests to prepare for the upcoming state contests. Members competed in Dairy Judging, General Livestock Judging, and Equine Management - attending events hosted by local FFA supporters and agricultural organizations. These contests provide a great opportunity to sharpen evaluation and decision-making skills while getting valuable hands-on learning outside the classroom.

Here are some highlights from recent invitationals:

🐴 Wilmington Aggies Invitational
• JH Dairy Team – 1st Place Team 🥇 with Chase C. 1st Individual, Korbin K. 2nd Individual, Jake B. 7th Individual and Molly H. – 8th Individual
• JH Equine – 5th Place Team, with Kylan P. 4th Individual
• JH General Livestock – 19th Place Team
• HS General Livestock – 50th Place Team

🐷 Marysville / Champaign Co. Invitational
• JH Dairy – 4th Place Team with Chase C. 3rd Individual and Molly H. 10th Individual
• Kylan P. – 17th Individual in Equine (only SE equine competitor)
• HS General Livestock – 40th Place Team

🐑 Indian Lake Invitational
(Results were not separated out by middle school vs. high school)
• JH Dairy – 20th overall competing against high school teams
• Mixed General Livestock Team – 53rd overall

🐄 Although the chapter did not attend the Miami Trace Invitational, Chase C went to judge as an individual and won 1st in JH Dairy!

We are proud of these members for pushing themselves, gaining experience, and representing our chapter well. Every contest helps build confidence and prepares them for the upcoming state competitions! 💙💛

🌟💙 Big News for Southeastern FFA! 💛🌟

We are proud to share that the Southeastern FFA Chapter has earned a 🏅 Gold Rating in the National Chapter Award Program at the state level!

The National Chapter Award Program recognizes FFA chapters that actively implement the mission and strategies of the National FFA Organization through a wide variety of quality activities and events for their members and community. Chapters document their work in three key areas:
🌱 Growing Leaders – leadership development opportunities for members
🤝 Building Communities – service and outreach that benefits our school and community
🚜 Strengthening Agriculture – activities that promote agriculture and agricultural literacy

Chapters submit a detailed application highlighting the impact of their programs, and they are evaluated and rated as Gold, Silver, or Bronze based on the quality and scope of their work.

Earning a Gold Rating reflects the dedication of our members, officers, and supporters who work year-round to make our chapter active, meaningful, and impactful. 💪

👏 Congratulations to all of our members who helped make this possible! Your leadership, service, and commitment to agriculture continue to make us proud.

A little bonus: we even ran into two SE FFA grads in-action with their respective campus life organizations! Kylie Corbitt was running the OSU Ag Communicators of Tomorrow booth at the CFAES welcome event and Ethan Heskett played in the spring band during the game! 🤩

Important information regarding strawberry sale delivery; we are postponing delivery to the week of March 16. Here is a statement from our supplier regarding the delay:

"This past weekend we received significant rain and had to halt our strawberry picking production. We resumed today and a lot of berries are being tossed on the ground that have been damaged by the intense rain.

Though things will probably improve by this weekend, we want to err on the side of caution. We have decided to push all truck departures back by one week. Instead of the week of 3/9 we will now be shipping the week of 3/16.

We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause and appreciate your understanding. Our goal is always to deliver the very best strawberries to you. We’ll be in touch with your delivery date and time later in the week."

WOW!!! 🤩

THANK YOU to all who came out (all 730+ of you!!!!!!) for our Clark County FFA Buckets & Brays! We went into the weekend with roughly 250 tickets sold and then the county showed up in a BIG way! Again, THANK YOU - we could not have anticipated so much support! 🫏🏀

We hope you all had a few laughs, cheered on your team, and enjoyed your time with us! 🙌🏼

We have so many more people to thank:
- Our fellow Clark County FFA Chapters & Advisors: Greenon, Global Impact, Northeastern, Northwestern, Springfield-Clark CTC, and Tecumseh for joining in and embracing the crazy
- Dairyland Donkey Ball, owner CJ Cordell & Andrew the one-man crew for being SO kind and easy to work with through the whole process
- All of our team Jersey sponsors for making sure our teams looked their best
- Our Southeastern FFA Supporters for sponsoring a concession stand and keeping up with the chaos as ticket sales skyrocketed yesterday and adjusted plans
- all of our SE FFA student volunteers who helped at the gate, concessions, selling t-shirts, P**P CREW, and so many more who jumped right in to fill the need

One last BIG shoutout to senior donkey baller, Kami H for winning the title in an epic dance battle showdown! Our team consisted of her, MaryEllen M, Addie W, Mitchell H, Lauren F, Ava J, and Galina S - who were all relentless in their pursuit of the title: Clark County Donkey Ball Champions!! 🏆
