Advanced Welding Institute Advanced Welding Institute is a welding educational and testing facility located in South Burlington, Vermont.

Advanced Welding Institute is a post- secondary welding school committed to assisting all individuals in developing marketable welding skills. We offer a Structural Welding Program (600 hrs) and Combination Structural and Pipe Welding Program (960 Hrs). During the programs students focus on SMAW, GMAW, FCAW, and GTAW with class sizes no larger than 20 students. Classes start in March and September

of every year and are offered in the day and evening. In addition, we perform specialized training to meet individual and company needs.

Admissions Representative / Recruiter

Advanced Welding Institute located in South Burlington, VT is looking for a full time Admissions Representative to work at our school in South Burlington, VT.

Job Responsibilities:
• Attend all required team and company training and information meetings.
• Follow up with all assigned high school prospect inquiries as appropriate with telephone, email, letter/card and in person contact.
• An emphasis on appointment-setting leading to a formal interview is sought,to inform each prospect regarding the school, and careers in the welding field.
• Touring prospects in the main classroom and welding lab.
• Evaluate each prospect regarding their attitude, aptitude and motivations to enter into the welding field.
• Determine if prospect has the necessary level of parental/guardian support to meet all obligations to the institution.
• Evaluation will be done subjectively primarily via personal interview as well as objectively via formal entrance examination.
• Consistently meeting and exceeding all goals assigned in the areas of phone calls, appointments, interviews, enrollments and starts as given by their supervisor.
• Maintain communication with active students to ensure proper support is being provided.
• Attending all graduation ceremonies and staying in contact with alumni as requested.
• Attending and assisting with any and all campus events such as Open Houses as requested.
• Honor all requests made by supervisors deemed important to Advanced Welding Institute
• Adhere to all position relevant policies and procedures as specified in the employee company handbook.
Personal Responsibilities and Attributes:
• Must be at work on time and work assigned hours.
• Goal Oriented-Maintain pleasant, professional, and teamwork oriented attitude and appearance.
• Must demonstrate and report effective time management.
• Consistently prove initiative, enthusiasm, and efficiency.
• Must demonstrate excellent communication skills.
• Must demonstrate willingness to learn.
Required Education and Experience:
• High School Diploma required Post-Secondary Degree preferred.
• Basic understanding of Internet.

All applicants must pass a drug and background check.
