Congratulations to the entire Highland Dance VT team on an excellent showing at the Quechee Highland Games yesterday! There were many personal bests across the team and excellent dancing from all.

Unlocked a lifelong dream this week and competed in the qualifying rounds of the World Highland Dance Championships. How lucky I am to chase my wild dreams - like training for and setting foot on the world stage - with support and encouragement from my village, love and sacrifices from my family, and with the knowledge that every second of my training was worth it to prepare me to dance my best.

Wishing all those who qualified to dance on Saturday the very best. I’ll be cheering you on from the stands as I live out another dream - watching the World finals live.

Many thanks to The Citizen - VT for the lovely story on my experience at the ScotDance USA National Championships. I achieved a lifelong dream in even qualifying to compete at the event, and loved every second of dancing on that stage.

Perspective is everything as an adult dancer and every moment I get to dance, learn, or teach is a gift. Preparation for this year's dance season included the hardest training cycle I've put myself through with classes, cross-training, physical therapy, intentional recovery, injury management, and more. I am so very grateful for my teacher, my team, my family, and my support system - including my own dancers here at Highland Dance VT.

As I shared with The Citizen, “I’m in my mid 30s. I work full time. I run the dance school. I have the students that I take care of. I have a daughter. To have even made it and achieved that dream that I’ve had since I was a teenager, that was the goal."

It was so fun to dance at the Addison County Fair and Field Days this morning. We have a handful of dancers who hail from the area, so it was especially meaningful to share Scottish dance with the community there. Thank you to the organizers for having us and for putting on a great event!
