🍎 STAFF SPOTLIGHT: MEET EMILY BRUGGEMAN! 🍎

We’re excited to welcome Emily Bruggeman back into the classroom as Seacoast Christian School's fourth grade teacher! After teaching 15 years ago, Emily spent many years as a stay-at-home mom, including time homeschooling her children and teaching English to Chinese students online.

Emily is also a familiar face around SCS—she has four girls and one boy, spanning Pre-K through 12th grade here at SCS! 💙

A few of Emily’s favorites:

🌟 STAFF SPOTLIGHT: Meet Carrie Sholes! 🌟

We’re excited to welcome Carrie Sholes to the SCS staff! 💙 Carrie is a 1996 SCS graduate who never imagined she’d return to Seacoast as a teacher, but is "stoked" to be here. Now, two of her children have graduated from SCS, and two are still students here!

Carrie has always loved English and is excited to share that passion with her students.

🔎🐞 BUG HUNT! 🐛🦋

Our 5th graders are heading to Powder Hill today for some hands-on science and an exciting opportunity to explore God’s creation! 🌿🔬

They’ll be exploring, observing, and taking a closer look at the incredible insects God has made.

👀 What will they find?
🐜 Ants?
🦋 Butterflies?
🪲 Beetles?
🕷️ Maybe even something unexpected!

Ask a 5th grader what they found as they discover the amazing details of God’s creation! 🙌

The SCS community is deeply saddened to hear of the passing of Lee Petrie. Lee was a dedicated coach at SCS from 2018-2023, leaving a lasting impact on many of our student-athletes, families, and community as a whole.

Please join us in praying for his family, friends, and all those impacted by this loss. Though we mourn today, we have great hope knowing he is rejoicing in Heaven.
