The Student Association for Civil Rights & Social Justice (SACRSJ) is a student-organized club that is promoting civil rights & social justice.

SACRSJ is founded on the premise that the fight for civil rights and social justice is ongoing and that the struggle is one that is of concern to all. As in the words, of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr., “An injustice anywhere is a threat to justice everywhere,” the purpose of the SACRSJ is to serve as a resource and umbrella for other student organizations and individuals who share that perspective.

Friends, I would love it if you could come to my April 18 Thursday night book discussion on this beautiful book by the historian Tiya Miles. You don't have to read the book in advance because I will give an overview to start the discussion. Bring a friend or family member if you like. Free and open to the public and copies of the book will be given away. At the Civil Rights Heritage Center from 6-7pm. 😊💕
