Dr. Maggie Fink offered students an amazing experience in her MLS Indiana University South Bend seminar, “The Secret Social Life of Bacteria.” Students produced art to accompany their research, and presented it at a final symposium on Dec. 17!

Master of Liberal Studies Program at Indiana University South Bend candidate Melva Godwin’s in-depth research is uncovering new insight into iconic opera singer Marian Anderson’s little-known 1944 performance in La Porte. This work even included an invaluable fact-finding trip to Philadelphia, Anderson’s birthplace.
