What a trip! Thank you to everyone who helped the Student Economic Forum and Finance Student Association take on New York City.
We toured MediaCom with New Business Associate and Judd Leighton School alumni Kevin Douglas McFadden, explored the Financial District on the Wall Street Insider Tour, visited the NASDAQ headquarters in Times Square, and much more!

The Muslim Student Association is a new club on campus focused on promoting dialogue and bringing people together! They want to help our students understand and appreciate different cultures while making new friends. Come support them tomorrow evening as they hold their first meeting. There will be several Middle Eastern foods to taste and experience! Information on the meeting and club can be found in the flier below.

Hello students, club members, and friends!
This is the first official update of the IUSB Student Economic Forum for the academic year. We have several great activities being planned and an opportunity for you to get involved with club operations.
For the fall semester, we are currently looking at several different kinds of events such as a trivia night, monopoly (or similar game) tournament, lecture series, community discussion (like the recent BLM talk on campus), and movie showing. At the beginning of next year (Jan. 6th-8th), we would like to attend the American Economic Association's (AEA's) annual meeting to be held in Chicago. This will feature many different businesses and employers as well as having an academic side in which economists across the country will present their research. For another visit to Chicago, we are working with the Student Finance Association on campus to prepare something for the spring semester. We would go to see the Booth School of Business at the University of Chicago, Northwestern University, the Federal Reserve and Money Museum, and several other places to be determined.
If you have an interest in participating in or getting involved with the aforementioned activities, please let us know!
Our club meetings will officially begin in October and will be open to anyone interested in attending and hearing about the current news for the forum. The first shall be held October 4th from 1pm-2pm in L406 on the fourth floor of the Schurz Library. Meetings following this will be held every two weeks on the same weekday at the same time, but are subject to change.
As a final note, Secretary Stephen Salisbury is resigning from his position. He will remain an active member in our organization and help to fulfill our goals in other respects. While the executive board will miss his direction and enthusiasm, we know he will continue to pursue excellence in all he does. If you would be interested in filling this role then please send us a message expressing why you would like the position as well as something you wish to see the forum do!
Thank you for supporting us as we start to get the ball rolling and we hope to see all of you while we work on "Bringing economics to life!"
