Retirement isn’t necessarily about slowing down, it can mean having more time to do the things you love!

This group of volunteers from Hubbard Hill recently put that idea into action at our Elkhart location, helping us package more than 600 meals for neighbors in need.

We’re so grateful for their time, energy, and willingness to give back to our community!

Wow! What an incredible donation today from Dec-O-Art, Inc. and their team.

As part of their 2026 National Donation Day, Dec-O-Art donated a total of $75,000 to three local nonprofits: Cultivate Food Rescue, A Rosie Place for Children - O'Hana Heritage Foundation and Angels in the Attic.

We’re incredibly grateful to Dec-O-Art and their team for investing in organizations making a difference right here in our community. Thank you for your generosity and support!

Today, we hope you’ll join us in wishing a very happy birthday to Cultivate’s Co-Founder and Executive Director, Jim Conklin.

More than 10 years ago, the idea behind Cultivate began to take shape. Since then, Jim’s faith, persistence and willingness to keep saying “yes” have helped grow that idea into a mission now serving more than 313 partners across three counties.

Jim is constantly asking one question: How can we feed more neighbors?

And time after time, his belief that we can find a way has proven true.

Cultivate has continued to grow under his leadership, even through some incredibly difficult personal seasons. After multiple brain surgeries, Jim has continued to come back, keep moving forward and lead with the same determination, compassion and belief in what is possible.

He cares deeply about our staff, our partners and the neighbors our food feeds.

Jim, thank you for continuing to believe in this mission and for helping all of us believe a little bigger too.

Happy birthday from all of us at Cultivate Food Rescue.

Cultivate partners with 313 local organizations, schools, and nonprofits to help get rescued food where it is needed most.

In our latest episode of 313, we talked to Thomas Miles, Director of the New Carlisle Community Food Pantry 300 E. Compton St. New Carlisle, In, about the impact of food rescue and how working together helps strengthen our community.

This is what “No Neighbor Hungry. No Food Wasted.” looks like in action.

Congratulations to Alex Ann Allen!

If you’ve volunteered with us at our South Bend location, you’ve probably seen Alex’s work. She is the artist behind the mural that serves as the backdrop for our volunteer photos and groups.

Now, Alex has been selected to create a mural for the Indiana Fever!

We’re so excited to see her talent recognized with such a great opportunity and proud to have a piece of her work as part of our space.

Congratulations, Alex, we can’t wait to see what you create for the Fever!

We’re grateful for partners who support our mission in so many different ways.

Yesterday, members of the Amazon team spent time volunteering with Cultivate Food Rescue, helping us continue the work of rescuing food and feeding our neighbors.

Amazon has supported Cultivate in many ways over the years, and we’re thankful not only for their generosity, but for their employees who continue to show up and serve alongside us.

It takes many donations to keep Cultivate running!

A huge thank you to Smurfit Westrock for their generous donation of boxes. Our team was all smiles as a truckload of boxes was unloaded and ready to be put to work!

We’re so grateful for partners who help us continue our mission of No Neighbor Hungry. No Food Wasted.
