Award winners of the 10-week Budget Challenge at SJHS. Nolan Finfrock was the Winner. Partners Emily and Alicia had Top Quiz Score Recognition. Emily, Alicia Azeneth, and Olivia earned PISA standing recognition. Everyone else was in the top 10 on the leaderboard. CONGRATS!

Michael Anthony, CFP, of Golden Years Financial Advisors in South Bend, gave lots of sound advice and as an advisor does that for a living. He talked about things like doing a cost benefit analysis for college and learning how to allocate your money using a budget.

Our in-class Stock Market Game this spring focused on who lost the least? 3rd place was Michael, 2nd place was Lainey, and the 1st place winner losing $425 over three weeks on her $10,000 investment was Jazmin! Winners got a Starbucks gift card from Martin Marketing.

Mr. Michael Anthony, Golden Years Financial Advisors, spoke to Personal Finance students today. Excellent take aways and one student said "relatable presentation." At just 26 he's one of the youngest in the field.

Being good consumers requires an understanding of what we're buying. Is the cheaper generic as good as the expensive name brand? The student favorite was the "Our Family" generic water. They also picked out the Neutrogena face wipe and liked it better than the generic Top Care.
