Don't forget to be weather aware today! We make sure to practice storm drills regularly to keep children and staff safe.

The children had a fun filled morning, engaging in a variety of hands-on activities that encouraged creativity, problem-solving, and social interaction. They enjoyed art, fine motor activities, and outdoor play, all while building friendships and developing new skills. 😁

At first glance, free play may look like children simply having fun, but it is actually one of the most important ways toddlers learn and grow. During free play, children choose activities that interest them, explore their environment, and learn at their own pace.
It also gives teachers opportunities to observe children's interests, strengths, and developmental progress. While we provide a safe and engaging environment, children take the lead in their learning, helping them become curious, capable, and confident learners. This, setting a foundation for their learning for the rest of their lives. 🎓🧠

It was a warm one this morning but the Lydick Summer Daycare Camp, kiddos made it to Reins of Life - Therapeutic horseback riding.
Our littles enjoyed a fun and educational visit. They had the opportunity to observe horses up close, learn about how they are cared for, and explore the farm.
They even had the chance to practice how to get up on a saddle. The smiles show it all.
It was a wonderful day of learning, exploration, and connecting with nature.
Thank you again to Reins of Life for allowing us to visit and all of the the wonderful learning, and fun, that was had. 🐴

Dear Families,
It is with a mix of joy and a heavy heart that I announce my resignation from Lydick ECM. After 22 years as the director of this beautiful program, it is time for me to say goodbye.

Saying goodbye to your children and your families is the hardest part of this transition. Watching so many of your littles grow, learn,
and thrive has been the greatest privilege of my life! Thank you for trusting me with your most precious treasure and allowing me to be a part of your village for over two decades.

I am incredibly proud of the community we have built here. As I step into this new chapter, I will carry memories of your beautiful families with me always. I wish you and your children all the best in the years to come.
