Congratulations to our incredible Science Olympiad team, who competed in the National Science Olympiad Tournament at the University of Southern California this past weekend! The team did a fantastic job, taking 41st place out of 60! Out of the 3,500 middle school teams in the US, this amazing group was honored to represent Indiana to compete on the National stage. Individually, we had some impressive scores, taking 26th in Rocks and Minerals, 25th in Remote Sensing, 23rd in Disease Detectives, 20th in Metric Mastery, and 16th in Write It Do It, to name a few! We are very proud of all of our team members and their coaches! Thank you to each of our Sponsors for helping make this trip possible, including our Title Sponsors - Drs. Deepak and Pinky Gaba and Views On Learning, Inc. Each Sponsor played an important role and is listed in celebratory images below. Congratulations, SCS Science Olympiad Team, on your incredible journey to Nationals 2026!

Congratulations to our kindergarteners, who presented their 12-week animal research projects today! Students did an incredible job using both print and digital sources to research their chosen animal, then using what they learned to write and illustrate a report on their animal's diet, habitat, climate, and more. This project allowed kindergartners to develop a range of literacy skills, including sentence writing and structure, handwriting, peer review, source citation, and presentation skills. In addition, students used technology to design and print a 3D figurine of their animal and to apply what they learned about their animals' habitats to create a diorama in art class. We are so impressed with all their hard work! Great job, kindergarten!
