The Stanley Clark School Established in 1958, Stanley Clark is an independent, co-educational school located in South Bend, Indiana, serving preschool through grade 8.

SCS has provided the finest education in our area for generations of bright, motivated students in a traditional college preparatory environment for more than 60 years. Our dedication to excellence in academics, arts, athletics, and character makes us the premiere school in the Michiana area.

Yesterday, 3rd graders enjoyed a beautiful fall afternoon at the Battjes Farm! After recently making bee sticks to help pollinate their Wisconsin Fast Plants, students were excited to learn more about honey bees and their hives from Mr. Battjes. What better way to study for social studies than with an edible map of Indiana? Yesterday, 4th graders worked in teams to create a delicious study guide using frosting, licorice, Fruit Loops, chocolate chips, and more to show regions, landforms, lakes, rivers, points of interest, and bordering states. Once complete, Mrs. Hershberger asked each group a series of questions about their map before they devoured their cookie creations.

While studying Greek Theatre in their acting and theatre history class, 7th graders teamed up to create original scenes using elements seen in Greek tragedies, such as chanting, singing, and dancing. While citizens of Ancient Greece once honored Dionysos with their performances, students put a fun spin on it and celebrated the Festival of "Teddysos" instead, with a stuffed teddy bear slipper. 🐻
