St. Judes Elementary Class of 1971

Going thru my main FB page tonight and saw Jim Kimmel's bday was yesterday, so go to see what he's been up to, and find out he died in Oct '21. So sad. Sorry I didn't stay in touch, as we had talked on the phone several times, but a few years ago. RIP Jim, you were a good guy and as I remember it, we "went study" for a week or so in grade school.

This past weekend, Steve Horvath visited Tucson AZ and we had lunch together. It was great to see Steve after years and years! If anyone else ever visits Tucson I would love to show you around (and I do have a guest room). Carol Bruggeman

Mark J. Piasecki Nov. 20, 1955 - Sept. 6, 2018

Mark J. Piasecki, 62, of Westville passed away Thursday, Sept. 6, 2018, in South Bend.

He was born Nov. 20, 1955, in South Bend to Genevieve Rosemarie Piasecki. On Nov. 1, 2014, he married Jeff Garbison, who survives. Mark is also survived by his Godmother, Shirley Klosinski of South Bend and numerous cousins.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Genevieve Larson.

Mark was a 1974 Penn High School graduate and before retiring worked as a clerk with B.P. Amaco stations in Wanatah and Westville.
Funeral services will be at 3 p.m. (C.S.T.) Monday, Sept. 10 at Newhard Funeral Home, 58 W. Walnut St. in Westville. Rev. Jerry Schweitzer will officiate. Burial will be in Hanna Cemetery. Visitation will be from 1-3 p.m. (C.S.T.) on Monday until the time of services.

Hope all those in Houston and Florida are safe and dry. Those hurricanes were horrible and you've been in my prayers!

I, (Carol Bruggeman Schippers) might be coming to town this summer for the Indy 500....maybe we could organize a get together in South Bend the weekend before....???

The Reunion of St. Judes Elementary Class of 1971 is now set for October 3rd in Las Vegas!!!! Come in for one day, the weekend, an extended weekend!!! Also, anyone who did attend St. Judes for a few years, but was not there in 1971 is also invited!!! GET THE WORD OUT!!!! Anyone interested in a St. Jude Class of '71 Reunion!?? Look up the page of Susan Hatfield Husen--or contact Carol Bruggeman Schippers on FB --as we are trying to organize a reunion this fall (Sept or Oct) of 2015 in Las Vegas!!!! Would be great to see what a St. Judes' upbringing did for all of us!!!

Susan has mentioned trying to organize a St. Judes Reunion some time in 2015 in Las Vegas!!!!! So effort is out to find our class and friend Susan Hatfield Husen to let her know when is best time! I can't go in June (but it's too hot there in June & July anyway....). Maybe my divorce will be final by then..... (summer!) I suggest either April or September 2015. WHERE IS EVERYONE???
