Suibukan of Indiana Karate dojo in South Bend, Indiana, teaches self defense for adults & kids: Shorin Ryu, Aikido & more Remember: we teach Karate, we don't sell belts!

Yamash*ta Shorin-ryu & Okinawan Shorin-ryu Karate emphasize fast, powerful, and efficient hand to hand combat techniques. Our training goals are confidence, character, and self control. Karate training includes kata (forms), sparring, and self defense. Karate has been practiced for hundreds of years, handed down from father to child, teacher to student. We encourage you to continue this proud lineage of honor, respect and discipline. Potential students are welcome to drop in for 1 or 2 free classes to evaluate our system and decide if it is right for them. Our school also offers classes in: Aikido, which focuses on locks, holds, throws, and the opponent's own movements; Kobudo, the practice of traditional Okinawan weapons; and yoga, focusing on breath control, meditation, and the adoption of specific bodily postures for health and relaxation.

Reminder of the move to our new digs!
We will have usual classes tonight and Wednesday.

Saturday the 26th, kids class only.
Fusion Fest demo at the Asia stage, dressed and ready by 1:45.
See Kris for passes/wristbands.

Next week, Monday the 28th and Wednesday the 30th will be moving days. Please come prepared to help move, and clean and prepare the new dojo.

We will resume classes starting Monday the 5th at the new location.

Also, don't forget the special class planned for Saturday the 17th with Sensei John Sorg of Goshen and the party afterwards!
