Thank you South Bend Fire Department. Our visiting students were thrilled to “touch a truck” and work with the recruits.

We are celebrating another day of providing hands-on with our students & teachers visiting from Lincoln School of South Bend Community School Corporation.

Students explored different types of and how they apply to the Law of Conservation of Energy.

They also put their & problem solving skills to work by using PTC’s On-Shape to map out a Mars Space Station.

5th graders from Corpus Christi of Diocese of Fort Wayne-South Bend are finishing up their 5 day visit to Starbase South Bend. Students learned Coordinates and applied what they learned playing our version of the Minion game. Graduation this afternoon. 🧑‍🎓 👩‍🎓

10 yrs of education to over 12,000 5th grade students from across Northern Indiana. Our 10 yr. Anniversary Celebration included speakers from City of South Bend - Municipal Government, Indiana National Guard while attendees included leadership from South Bend Community School Corporation, local Foundations, Indiana University South Bend - Health Sciences, SB City Council and our “Friends of Starbase”.

We were just discussing this today with Bremen Public Schools 5th graders as they learned Newton’s Laws, built and launched Straw Rockets today at Starbase South Bend

The countdown is on for NASA’s Artemis II mission around the moon! This will be the first time humans have travelled to the moon since 1972, and will be the farthest humans have ever traveled from Earth.

Launch is scheduled for this Wednesday at 6:24 p.m. NASA will begin their livestream at 12:50 p.m. on Wednesday. The crew will also host live updates from the Orion capsule during the mission.

Mrs. Willsey has encouraged our teachers to share this with students, and you're encouraged to share this with your kids!
