Its activities encourage young men to see their studies, work, and family responsibilities from the perspective of growth in virtue and spirit of service. It also serves as a residence for university students in the South Bend, Indiana area. The spiritual dimension of Windmoor's activities is entrusted to the Catholic Prelature Opus Dei, founded by St.

On June 14, 2016 excavation began for the new building! June 14 also happened to be John Gueguen's 83rd birthday. John purchased Windmoor in Spring 1960 with a down payment from his graduate student stipend. John does not like to call it a miracle, but the arrival of his stipend check was certainly well-timed.
