The 2024 NIC Girls' Golf championship ends up with a tie between Pann and Saint Joseph. Penn had a 7-0 dual match record , beating Saint Joseph by two strokes in the final NIC dual match. At the NIC Tournament, Penn and Saint Joseph tied after the first four scores came in, but Saint Joseph won the Tournament with their 5th man score, thus creating a tie for the NIC Girls' Golf championship. Adam's golfer Katherine Swain won the medalist honors with a 75 score.

Congratulations to Penn and New Prairie on winning IHSAA Football Sectional championships. Good luck in the Regionals next week-end.

Congratulations to the Marian Boys' Soccer team on winning the Class 2A IHSAA Boys' Soccer state championship defeating Evansville Memorial, 4-0.

In the IHSAA Boys' Cross-Country Sectional at New Prairie, Penn finished 1st with SB Adams qualifying for the Regional with a 4th place finish. In the Girls' Sectional Penn also won with SB Adams and New Prairie finishing 4th and 5th respectively to advance to the Regional at New Prairie.
At Elkhart's Oxbow Park, Elkhart's boys' and girls' teams each finished 4th to advance to advance to the Regional at New Prairie this next Saturday. Some cross-country runners from other NIC schools also advance to run as individuals as they placed in the top tier of finishers.

Good luck to those NIC Football teams as they start IHSAA Football Sectional play this Friday night, Oct 20.
Class 4A Sectional #17 will see Hobart traveling to New Prairie. IN Sectional # 18 SB Washington travels to Plymouth, NorthWood goes to Saint Joseph, while SB Riley travels to Wawasee.
In Class 3A, Sectional # 26, Jimtown goes to Fairfield, SB Clay travels to Walkerton to take on John Glenn, with Marian going to West Noble.
In Class 2A, Sectional # 33 Bremen travels to Lake County to play Hammond Bishop Noll.
Class 6A and 5A NIC match ups wait a week to start sectional play on Oct 27. 6A Penn hosts Elkhart in Sectional # 2 and in Class 5A Concord travels to School Field to play SB Adams in Sectional #11.

Congratulations to the Marian Volleyball team on winning the Class 3A Sectional at Jimtown last Saturday. Good luck to them as they will square off against Hammond Bishop Noll at the NorthWood 3A Regional on Saturday. Host NorthWood plays Culver Academy in the other semi-final. The winners face off Saturday night with the winner advancing to the IHSAA Northern Semi-State next week.

Congratulations to the Marian Knights Boys' and Girls' Soccer teams on their IHSAA Regional championships last Saturday. Good luck to them as both squads will face Leo at Chesterton on Saturday in the IHSAA Norther Semi-State.

Good luck to the NIC Cross-Country teams as they will participate in the IHSAA Sectional Cross-Country meets this Saturday in revamped state tournament series going from a 4 week set-up to a new 3 week tourney format. SB Riley, traditional host at Erskine lost the Sectional host as most local South Bend area teams will now go the New Prairie Sectional.

Thursday will see the start of the IHSAA Volleyball Sectional tournaments state-wide.
SB Adams and SB Riley travel to the 4A Sectional #3 at Michigan City, while Elkhart will play host to Penn at Class 4A Sectional #4.
In the Class 3A Sectional # 19 at Jimtown, host Jimtown entertains fellow NIC members Clay, New Prairie, Saint Joseph Marian and Washington. Glenn travels to the Bremen Class 3A Sectional # 18.
Good luck to all NIC schools in the IHSAA Volleyball Sectionals this week with the finals being played Saturday night.

In Girls' Soccer Regionals Penn will host Northridge on Wednesday while Marian will host NorthWood on Wednesday also.
On Thursday Penn will host Concord in a 3A Boys' Regional match up while Marian will host West Noble in the 2A Boys' Regional.
Penn and Marian will also host the Regional Finals on Saturday, October 14 as the winners will face the winners of the other Regional semi-finals. In 3A Crown Point will face off at Lake Central while in 2A West Lafayette travels to Hanover Central.

Congratulations to Saint Joseph and Penn on winning their IHSAA Sectional championships. Saint Joseph won the IHSAA Regional at LaPorte beating Andrean 5-0 , then defeating Chesterton 4-1 for the title, while Penn lost the Regional at NorthWood losing to Goshen 3-2 after beating Warsaw 4-1.
Saint Joseph advanced to the IHSAA Semi-State at Culver Academy where they beaten by Carmel 5-0.
