Dear Jefferson Families,
It is with deep sadness that I share the news of a loss within our Jefferson school community. Today, we learned that one of our students has passed away due to a health issue. Our hearts go out to the scholar’s family, and we extend our sincere condolences during this incredibly difficult time.
In response, we have made support available for our scholars and staff throughout the school day. Social workers and counselors have been on hand to help scholars process their emotions and to provide a safe, supportive space for anyone in need.
Given these circumstances, we decided to postpone the iLEARN assessment by one day. Testing will now resume on Monday morning.
We appreciate your understanding and compassion as we come together to support one another. If you have any questions or if your child would benefit from additional support, please don’t hesitate to contact the school office at 574-393-4100.
