The former Memorial Hospital School of Nursing, ,IN. Opened in 1894 as Epworth Hospital and Training Opened in 1894 as Epworth Hospital and Training School.
Memorial Hospital of South Bend traces its roots back to 1894, when the Women's Home Missionary Societies of the Methodist Churches of South Bend founded Epworth Hospital and Training School. By 1901, the hospital had grown from three patient beds in a converted house to a 50-bed "modern" hospital - complete with a maternity room and an operating room in the first building in South Bend designed

Julie Bowers and I are planning a small memorial service for Linda Barouska on July 14th at 10:00 AM. It will take place in the Memorial Hospital Chapel. Please pass this on to other classmates and her coworkers.
It’s with great sadness to let the class of 1970 know that Linda Barouska passed away this evening. Please keep her family in your prayers. We had some great adventures this past 50 +
years. I will miss her so much.
