What can one donation do? More than you might think.

Today is , a national day of action celebrating the spirit of generosity that exists in communities across the U.S.

This week, we invite you to support our community by donating your idle household items and clothing. Together, we can help open doors to opportunity and help our neighbors thrive.

Read Abel's story:

When Abel graduated Goodwill’s Automotive program offered through The Academy, he shared: “I learned my worth, thanks to a team that gets just as excited about your success as you do, if not more.” After graduation, Abel partnered with Goodwill’s Career Navigators to interview with Gurley Leep Hyundai. He was hired on as an apprentice, and since then, Abel has been promoted to a Level 3 Certified Hyundai Technician and is on-track to becoming a Flat-Rate Tech this summer.

Every donation to Goodwill has the power to change a life by funding Goodwill's FREE programs like The Academy.

🇺🇸 Goodwill was honored to host the Miller’s Vet Color Guard this week at our Western Campus for a flag retirement and raising ceremony.

The ceremony included the respectful retirement of the existing American flag and the raising of a new flag, carried out with dignity and tradition by Veterans from our local community. Their participation served as a meaningful reminder of the service, sacrifice, and commitment represented by our nation’s flag.

Events like this align closely with the work of Goodwill’s Veterans Resource Network, which is dedicated to supporting Veterans and their families through resources, advocacy, and community connections. We are proud to serve those who have served and grateful for opportunities to recognize the contributions of Veterans in meaningful ways.

Thank you to the Miller’s Vet Color Guard for conducting this special ceremony and for helping us honor an important American tradition.

Watch this powerful video of Goodwill’s Academy graduates!

Through guidance and encouragement at Goodwill, these individuals discovered a better path forward, and the belief that they could succeed.

Cheri, a graduate of The Academy's Construction program shared, “When I graduated, I got emotional because I knew chapter was closing…I’ve seen a better version of me, I’ve seen people believe in me, it's life-changing, and now I can give back positively to the world."

Each graduate is now employed in their field of training, turning pain into purpose.

These transformations are possible because of the generosity of Goodwill shoppers and donors. Your support helps keep programs like The Academy, free and accessible for everyone, removing barriers and opening doors to opportunity.
