Line of Sight — Session 2 was incredible! ⭐

A special thank you to Felecia Howell of Humbly Changing for bringing this week’s session on Wellness & Purpose to life with her knowledge and passion. ♥️

It was powerful to see the level of student engagement and connection in the room. Moments like this remind us that the impact is real—and our students are receiving it.

We are grateful for the support of Rise Up Academy leadership and proud of the team behind this work.

Looking forward to continuing this journey over the next eight weeks! 📚✨🙏🏿

Week 2 — Line of Sight 🔥

We’re excited to continue our 10-week journey with our students at Rise Up Academy!

This week, we’re diving into Wellness & Purpose — “How Do I Sustain Myself?” 💭

Students will begin learning how to care for their mental health, build healthy habits, and understand the importance of purpose as they grow into future leaders.

These conversations matter. We’re not just talking about success—we’re helping students build the tools to sustain it.

At IMPower Center, we are committed to walking alongside our youth—equipping them, supporting them, and helping them see what’s possible for their future. 💙

At the IMPower Center, we believe taking time to heal is not a luxury — it’s necessary.

So often, we keep going.
We push through.
We carry things without ever slowing down to process them.

But the truth is…
you can’t fully show up for your family, your work, or your future if you’re not taking care of yourself.

That’s why we created Therapeutic Thursdays — a space for you to pause, reflect, and begin doing the work that often gets put to the side.

This isn’t surface-level.
This is real conversation about real life.

This is about the things we’ve been holding in —
and finally having a space to talk through it.

From everyday stress to deeper emotional weight, these are the conversations that help us move forward in a healthier way.

If you’ve been carrying a lot…
this space was created with you in mind.

Message for Our Parents

Parents we had an amazing week one with the kick off of our Line of Sight program at Rise Up Academy, remember, you are the most important voice in your child’s life. As your student goes through our leadership program over the next 10 weeks, we encourage you to continue the conversation at home. Ask them what they learned, what stood out to them, and what dreams they are beginning to imagine for their future.

This program is designed to help students better understand who they are, recognize their strengths, and start thinking about the possibilities ahead. Your encouragement, your listening ear, and your support can make a powerful difference as they begin to discover their potential.

Remember, this journey doesn’t stop in the classroom. Some of the most meaningful moments happen around the kitchen table, through simple conversations that remind your child that their voice matters and their future is full of opportunity.

We are grateful to walk alongside your family in supporting the growth of our young leaders.

💛 We had an AMAZING Therapeutic Thursdays! 💛

Last night was powerful. Real conversations, real vulnerability, and real growth.

We came together and talked through:
✨ Workplace stress and the pressure to always “perform”
✨ Imposter syndrome and feeling unseen
✨ Navigating environments where leadership doesn’t reflect your lived experience
✨ Setting boundaries and advocating for yourself
✨ Practical tools to protect your mental health while still pursuing success

What stood out most was the openness in the room. People showed up as they are — and that matters.

If you missed it, we’ll see you at the next one.
