Jackson will NOT wear uniforms in the 25/26 School Year. We will instead follow an SBCSC-aligned dress code. Please review the policy in the graphic below.

BIG UPDATES HAPPENING AT JACKSON THIS SUMMER!

Good Morning 8th Grade Parents,

Tomorrow is the final day of your child’s 8th-grade school year. In the Fall, they are off to high school and new adventures.

I want to take this opportunity to share a couple of last-minute reminders:
- All 8th-grade students should come to school at their normal time to prepare for the ceremony.
- The ceremony will begin at 10:30 am on Monday.
- After the ceremony, students will be able to leave with their families.
- Students were given 4 tickets for the ceremony last week (if you have 1 or 2 extra you would like to bring, please feel free.
- Flowers can be brought into the auditorium, NO balloons or signs should be brought in. Please keep those in your car.
- This is a formal type of event, I encourage students to dress for the occasion.
- Please enter Door 2 at Jackson. Doors will open at 10:00 am.

Thursday night we celebrated our athletes and athletic programs in a year end banquet. We came a long way this year from the Fall season til now and I couldn’t be more proud of our kids! Shout out to Ms. Klancher for putting together this banquet and leading our athletic programs. A true believer in STUDENT ATHLETES!

Last night, Student Council put on our end of year formal dance. The students who came had a great time celebrating the end of the year. Thank you to Ms. K and student council

Yesterday we celebrated our 8th graders and all students who met their IREADY stretch growth. We took them out back and let them enjoy some good food. Thanks to Fitzgerald’s Smokehouse for hooking up our students with Chicken, HotDogs, Beans and Mac and Cheese. Kona Ice was also brought in so the kids could enjoy a snowcone Beautiful day and good way to close out the school year.

Today, we honor and remember the brave men and women who made the ultimate sacrifice for our country. Their courage and dedication to protecting our freedoms will never be forgotten.

In observance of Memorial Day, all South Bend Community School Corporation schools and offices are closed today. We encourage our community members to take a moment to reflect on the significance of this day and pay tribute to those who have served.

Thank you to all who have served and continue to serve our nation.

8TH GRADE FAMILIES!!!!!

Hello Jackson Families,

This is Jory Hardman, the proud principal of Jackson Middle School. First off, CONGRATULATIONS! Your child is at the end of their middle school journey and will be off to high school in the Fall.

On June 2, 2025, we will be celebrating our 8th graders at the promotion ceremony. The ceremony will start promptly at 10:30 am. Doors will open to the event at 9:45 am.

Every 8th-grade student will be given 4 tickets to the ceremony. We kindly ask that you stick to the number so all students have the opportunity to have their family in attendance. I am also going to ask that, while flowers can be brought into the ceremony, any balloons or signs that could interfere with people's view be left in the car until the end of the ceremony.

We will have a spot for families to take pictures after the ceremony. This is a more formal event, so we ask that your child follow that expectation for this ceremony.

8th Grade families will be able to take their students after the event and can begin to have a great summer.

Hello Jackson Families,

This is Jory Hardman, the proud principal of Jackson Middle School. First, I want to say thank you to all of our families who have or have had members serve in the military, we are thankful for their sacrifice and service. Because of them, we celebrate and honor Memorial Day tomorrow, there is no school.

We are almost to the end! Join our athletic department in a food drive from now until June 3rd. Items can be brought in and dropped off in the office. We will also have the bin on Thursday evening during the Athletic banquet.

Thursday night, from 6:00 - 7:30 pm, we will have an End of Year Athletic Banquet. We will have dinner and a presentation of awards for our sports throughout the year. Each athlete is invited to bring two guests and join us. The food drive bin will also be there, and we will be selling remaining House Store items for $1 each.

Friday will be our 8th-grade cookout and Q4 incentive. Students who have earned the incentive will receive a ticket and be able to come out to the cookout during their lunch period. ALL 8th graders are invited.

Monday, June 2, 2025, will be the 8th-grade promotion ceremony. 8th-grade families will be receiving a separate email today.

I am looking forward to a fun and exciting week celebrating our students.
