What a great night! It was fantastic to see our Basketball and Futsal All-Stars showcase their talents and represent their teams so well.

The highlight of the evening wasn't just the competition—it was watching our student-athletes connect, build friendships, and spend time together after the games. Moments like those remind us what youth athletics is truly about: developing relationships, creating lasting memories, and growing both on and off the court.

Thank you to all of the athletes, coaches, families, and supporters who made the night so special!

🏆 Year 2 of Elementary Athletics Comes to a Memorable Close

The second year of SBCSC Elementary Athletics is officially in the books, and what a way to end the season.

Saturday was filled with outstanding competition, memorable performances, and championship moments as student-athletes from across the district showcased their hard work and dedication.

🏈 Girls Flag Football
Orange was the color of the day as Dickinson and Monroe finished the season as co-champions. Both programs put together exceptional seasons and continue to raise the standard year after year.

🏃 Track & Field
The Track Championship featured a competitive battle among three South Side powerhouses: Lincoln, Nuner, and Monroe. In the end, Lincoln edged Monroe to capture the overall team championship. The meet was highlighted by outstanding individual performances from student-athletes such as Harlin of Monroe and Kyrah of Nuner, who delivered impressive results throughout the day.

⚽ Soccer Championship
The action continued at Clay High School as Kennedy faced Edison in the Soccer Championship. The Explorers earned their second championship of the school year, defeating the Chargers in an exciting match to claim the title.

🏈 Pathways Football Championship
The final event of the day featured the Panthers Pathway Team and Bears Pathway Team in a thrilling championship matchup. Fans were treated to a showcase from two of the city's top young quarterbacks, Kaiden and Jace, who both put on impressive performances. When the final whistle blew, Jace and the Kennedy Bears emerged victorious, securing the championship in a hard-fought contest.

A special thank you goes out to all of the parents, families, and supporters who made this season possible. Your commitment to transporting, encouraging, and supporting our student-athletes each week has played a vital role in the continued growth of elementary athletics.

We are proud of what has been accomplished in just two years and are excited for what lies ahead. We look forward to welcoming everyone back for an even bigger and better 2026–27 school year.

As we continue intentionally building meaningful experiences for our students, we invite our community to join us in strengthening the athletic experience ahead of the launch of our 2026–27 school year calendars.

Based on feedback from the 2024–25 school year, our primary focus during the current 2025–26 school year has been building stronger culture within each of our programs. Through the feedback we’ve gathered this year, one of the key areas identified for continued growth is coach development and education.

Before finalizing our implementation plans moving forward, we would love to engage in constructive conversations with families, coaches, and community stakeholders to help shape the future of student athletics together.

Thank you for continuing to support and invest in our students and programs.

It’s great to see a vision continuing to come together! Year after year, we continue to build, strengthen, and expand opportunities for our students to play, compete, and grow.

This weekend, one of our soccer programs is representing South Bend Schools in the Jr. Irish Memorial Day Tournament. The Edison Chargers (John Adams Pathway) will compete in a three-game tournament featuring more than 25 teams from across the state playing against excellent competition.

Experiences like this are exactly aligned with the strategic priorities of our elementary athletics programs—creating meaningful opportunities for student-athletes to compete, travel, and grow through sports.

A huge thank you goes out to the coaching staff led by Coach Erdel and Coach Garcia, along with the leadership and support of Principal Pedraza.

Go Chargers ⚽⚡️! More opportunities and experiences like this are on the way for our students, so stay tuned.

⚽ Help Us Build South Bend’s Future Futsal Court! 🏟️

Indiana Soccer Association and South Bend Schools are partnering to create a new community-use futsal court designed for players of all ages and abilities right here in South Bend!

This project will transform an unused tennis court into a safe, welcoming, and accessible space featuring:
