In welding, learning the trade sometimes goes beyond the booth. A former student who organizes wheelchair basketball games for disabled athletes reached out after one of his players broke a component on his sports wheelchair during a game. The chair needed a weld repair, so he called our instructor.

The response was simple: bring it in. We have the right student for it. One of our current students had been training on that exact welding process and stepped up to complete the repair. It was real-world work, real responsibility, and real impact, restoring equipment that helps someone stay in the game.

Moments like this show what the skilled trades are really about: competence, confidence, and stepping up when it matters.

Our Certified Welding Instructor, Mike, recently completed the ASME Section IX Welding, Brazing, and Fusing Qualifications certification!💪 This certification ensures that welding procedures and welders meet the highest industry standards for strength, safety, and reliability—especially in critical applications like pressure vessels, boilers, and pipelines. Welding is always evolving, and our team stays ahead to provide the best training for our students.

Say hello to Mr. AbT-Rex 🦖- a stunning T-Rex sculpture created by one of our talented students! Using blueprint reading, plasma cutting, SMAW, and GMAW, our student brought this prehistoric predator to life—proof that welding is as much about art as it is about precision and craftsmanship.
