Dear Families,
As you may have heard, the Department of Early Education and Care is now requiring licensed child care programs to follow new requirements for health and safety. Prior to reopening we will each need to create a plan for meeting these very strict rules/regulations, have the plan approved, and adapt our child care environment to implement them. The plans are quite extensive and will take time to put into place.
Parents also have a role in implementing these plans as well. For example, you can expect to screen your child's health every morning, arrive on a staggered schedule, drop your child off/pick up outside my program door, provide masks and plenty of extra clothing for your child, keep your child home if they have any symptoms of sickness or exposure to COVID-19, and continue implementing safe practices at home to avoid passing COVID-19 to our program.
Please understand that we have not yet received all the guidance we need from the Department of Early Education and Care and can not apply until we learn more about that process.
Please know that I am working hard to create a plan for opening, however due to the extensive requirements and current personal health concerns at this time MSFS will hopefully be opening on Monday June 29, 2020.
I appreciate your support and patience during this difficult time. I miss your children so much and hope not to lose any of you as clients and friends. I look forward to when we can all be together again.
Ms. Sue
