Well, the gang’s all here! 🎉

As of today, all of our Dock students are officially back on campus! ❤️ It was especially fun to see our preschoolers arriving this morning—playing, praying, exploring, and getting to know their classmates and teachers.

Our classrooms and hallways are full again, and we couldn’t be happier. Welcome to a new school year, Dock! 📚✨

We are excited to share the Fall 2026 Lamplighter! This issue explores the theme “When Excellence Meets Community,” celebrating what can happen when students are encouraged to develop and faithfully use their gifts within a community that knows, supports, and cares for them. From Senior Speeches and Commencement to the Touring Choir’s Europe pilgrimage, Dock’s phone-free school day, and a historic state championship baseball season, these stories reflect the distinctive combination of growth, relationships, faith, and belonging that shapes the Dock experience. There were very few tears this morning as our preschoolers joined us for their first day on campus! 🎉 Well, okay… maybe a few from the moms & dads! ❤️🥹

We loved seeing our youngest students arrive with smiles, backpacks, and lots of excitement for the year ahead.

Our Dock middle school students kicked off the school year with their first chapel today! 🙏🎶 What better way to begin exploring this year’s theme of Everyday Worship than by gathering as a community to sing, worship, and praise God together. We’re excited to see how our students discover ways to make worship part of their everyday lives throughout this school year! ❤️

🎉 The first day is here! 🎉

There’s nothing quite like the excitement of the first day of school at Dock! From our newest Kindergarten students to our 8th graders, our hallways and classrooms are once again filled with smiles, laughter, learning, and friends. ❤️

We’re so excited to welcome everyone back—and we’re especially happy to welcome all the new students and families joining our Dock community this year!

Here’s to new adventures, new friendships, and a fantastic 2026–27 school year! 📚✏️

It was wonderful to welcome back our returning families—and say hello to so many new ones—at yesterday’s Dock Open House and New Family Gathering!

Students and their families had the chance to meet teachers, visit classrooms, and catch up with friends throughout the event. Our new families then gathered for a fun pizza dinner together in the cafeteria!

We’re so grateful for all of our Dock families and can’t wait to welcome everyone back tomorrow for the first day of school!

Dock faculty, staff, and administrators have enjoyed reconnecting, worshipping, and preparing together during In-Service as we look ahead to the 2026–27 school year! The time included worshipping together, sharing summer learning, exploring our theme for this year of Everyday Worship, and reflecting on Dock’s mission and the important work before us.

A meaningful highlight came as Dr. Jason Moyer led us in a spiritual practice of naming the gifts we see in one another. Each person identified a colleague and their gifts, then added those affirmations to a quilt—a visual reminder that God has already given this community the people and gifts we need for the work ahead. We are woven together in Christ, and each of us has something important to contribute.

We enjoyed connecting with new families and students last evening and look forward to welcoming students for the first day of school tomorrow!
