Zwingli Nursery School is cancelled on Monday, December 15 due to the snowstorm today and possible unsafe road conditions tomorrow morning. When Souderton Area School District has a 2 hour delay, our nursery school will close.

Watch our students show us how to do the "Upside Down" coat method. This method, also known as the "flip trick," involves laying the coat on the floor with the hood/collar near your feet and inside facing up. You then put your arms through the sleeves and flip the coat over your head

Learning this method is a good way to teach practical life skills and promote independence in children.

Preschoolers show us how to put on their own coat using the upside down method. Great job!

Today the children were having fun with viewfinders. This toy teaches children how to focus their attention on detail which develops observations skills. It also teaches patience as they wait for the picture they want to see appear. Our students learn so much through play.

The children really enjoy free play. Today a few students were very busy "fixing the PTO". Santa hired them to take care of it!

Children learn so much through play. While playing with LEGOS today, the skills they are building are: problem-solving, critical thinking, early match concepts, spatial awareness. Playing with Legos also strengthens their dexterity and control, handwriting readiness and allows their imagination and creativity to flow.

Today we worked on a group art project. We made an apple tree using dot markers. This activity reinforced what the children have been learning about - the color red and the shape of a circle. The dot markers created red circles that look like apples!
As we enter fall, we will have more projects that help us explore the season.
