Get a crash course in four different surface design techniques from four amazing artists during this one day demo style symposium. Each artist will present a 90 minute demonstration in their particular technique.

Joanne was a Sonoma Ceramics Resident in 2019, under then Director of Arts and Ceramics, . She is visiting Sonoma to teach a 2 day workshop through Kala Stein Studios, Valley of the Moon Jar. We are incredibly excited to host Joanne once more for an artist talk in collaboration with her workshop at Kala Stein Studios.

Maker’s Meeting

Join Director Meg as she shares about her recent sabbatical to North Carolina. She will speak about her residency time at Township 10, the body of work she created while there, the wonders of 1900s brick factory technology, what it means to make work as an arts administrator, and all that reconnecting with her pottery roots and community offered her.

Tomorrow our Artist in Residence, Christian Moses, will be starting his 7 week course here & there are still seats! This is the one and only class he’ll be teaching before he goes back to Brooklyn, so don’t wait!! You can find this class on the Sonoma Ceramics Website, titled “From 2D to 3D, building sculpturally with Christian Moses”
