On Saturday May 11 Sean Carscadden will be putting on his second annual birthday bash. Carscadden turned 40 last year and put on a sold out show at the Sebastiani Theatre. It was such successful that he decided to make it an annual affair as an excuse to play this theatre that is near and dear to his heart and to assemble his dream team of musical partners/ friends for an amazing and rare performance of this scale.
The band will consist of Carscadden’s main rhythm section of 12 years Cliff Hugo (of Ray Charles, Supertramp and more) on bass
and Mikey Lee Cannon on drums. A Sonoma native Carscadden is a 3 time winner of the Norbay's for Best Americana
And 3 time winner of the Sonoma Index Tribune’s People’s Choice Award for Best Local Performer
Jesse Lemme Adams on Keys. Jesse is a founding member of Royal Jelly Jive of which Carscadden is also a member. Adams, Carscadden and Mikey Lee Cannon also perform as the organ trio B3PO.
Winona Wagner and Laura T. Lewis will sing backup harmonies.
Both are singer/ songwriters in their own right. Winona is a member of the indie folk trio Wyld Iris and Laura is a member of Wolf Jett.
Johnny Bones on sax. Johnny is the lead sax player for the critically acclaimed California Honeydrops. Johnny, Cliff Hugo and Carscadden are all members of the Beau Beau band which is the side project of California Honeydrops bassist/ drummer Beaumont Beaullieu who is also originally from Sonoma.
Cole Berry on percussion who is also a member of the Beau Beau band.
He promises a couple of surprise guests up his sleeve.
Over the last 12 or so years Caracadden has produced 5 sold out shows at the Sebastiani Theatre. Once for the album release party for his former duo project with Marty O’Reilly. Twice for the album releases for Sarah Summers. Twice under his own name. And hopefully another sold out show this year.
The night will feature a range of musical stylings from New Orleans Funk, Soul, Blues, and America
