🎓 Big congratulations to two Hanna Center alumni who are reaching exciting new milestones!

Edgar Porras (Class of 2021) recently graduated from Santa Rosa Junior College with an A.S. in Criminal Justice and is headed to a CSU this fall to continue his education.

Rey Sebastian (Class of 2020) graduated from Sonoma State University with a B.S. in Kinesiology.

Watching our alumni pursue their goals and create bright futures is one of the greatest joys of our work. We’re so proud of all they’ve accomplished and can’t wait to see what’s next.

Thank you, KSVY (), for hosting Hanna Center’s Clinical Director, Evelynn Hernandez-Brown, for a meaningful conversation during Mental Health Awareness Month.

We’re grateful to everyone who joined us at our events throughout the month, followed along with our conversations, and helped spread awareness in our community. Every shared story, resource, and conversation helps reduce stigma and keep our community connected to care and support here in Sonoma Valley.

While May shines an important spotlight on mental health, the work continues all year long at Hanna Center. To learn more about mental health support at Hanna, visit hannacenter.org/mental-health or call our team at (707) 933-4482.

Mental health care can begin with one important shift: meeting students where they are.

In her latest article for Mental Health Awareness Month, Evelynn Hernandez-Brown, LMFT, Hanna Center Clinical Director, explores how school-based mental health services can help students feel less alone, make sense of what they are carrying, and connect to additional support when needed.

At Hanna Center, we believe access is not just about whether care exists. It is also about whether young people can reach it in a setting where trust and consistency already live.

Last week, Hanna Academy graduating seniors gathered with staff for our annual senior dinner tradition.

It was a meaningful evening to celebrate this milestone, share a meal, and honor the students as they prepare for what comes next. We’re proud of each of our seniors and grateful for the staff who continue to walk alongside them with care, encouragement, and support.

Thank you to Lococo's Cucina Rustica for hosting us and helping make the evening feel so special.

Congratulations, graduates! We’re cheering you on!

Last week, Hanna Center welcomed providers, educators, advocates, families, and community members for our Early Psychosis Community Forum.

Together, we explored the importance of early intervention, reducing stigma, and building stronger pathways to care for young people and families experiencing early signs of psychosis.

A special thank you to our guest speaker, Tara Niendam, Ph.D., Director for the UC Davis EPI-CAL Network, for sharing her expertise and insight with our community. We are also grateful to Aldea’s team for partnering on the panel and bringing their experience, perspective, and care into the conversation.

At Hanna Center, we believe mental health care must be community-centered, accessible, and rooted in partnership. Through Hanna Ahead, we are continuing this work by supporting young people and families with early intervention resources when they matter most.

Thank you to everyone who joined us and helped make this conversation thoughtful, engaging, and impactful.

Adam’s story is a powerful reminder of what can happen when care, stability, and community come together.

At Hanna Center, our system of care is designed to meet young people where they are and walk alongside them as they build toward what’s possible. Through residential support, education, mental health care, life skills, and trusted relationships, youth like Adam are able to find stability, discover their strengths, and take meaningful steps toward the future.

This is what lasting outcomes can look like: confidence, purpose, and the belief that someone is always on your side.
