That’s a wrap on Freshman Flight of Passage 2026!✈️☁️

What an incredible two days! We had the privilege of welcoming an outstanding group of incoming high school freshmen to the UT Martin Somerville Center for our annual Freshman Flight of Passage program.

From team-building and career exploration to critical thinking activities, ACT preparation, and the ACT Residual Exam, these students embraced every opportunity with enthusiasm, curiosity, and a willingness to learn. Their positive attitudes, thoughtful questions, and encouragement of one another made this year’s program truly special.

A heartfelt thank you to our presenters, facilitators, and community partners who invested their time and expertise into helping these students prepare for the exciting journey ahead.

The UT Martin Dual Enrollment department is looking to hire a History Adjunct Instructor to teach HIST 201- History of the United States I in person at the UT Martin Somerville Center on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 10:30 a.m. to 11:45 a.m. If you hold a master's degree with a minimum of 18 graduate hours in history, and you are available at these times during the week, you may be eligible to teach this course!
