🚀 Building the Leaders of Tomorrow! 🚀
Yesterday, our amazing teachers and outstanding students from MCS Technology Park attended the Alabama Joint Leadership Development Conference (JLDC) in Birmingham!
With nearly 5,000 attendees, JLDC is the largest non-athletic student gathering in the Southeastern United States for educational purposes.
Tech Park students spent the day diving into crucial 21st-century workforce skills, including
✨ creativity & innovation,
🤝 communication & collaboration,
💼 initiative & self-direction,
🌍 social & cross-cultural skills, and
💪 leadership & responsibility.
By providing essential employability training and increased exposure to Alabama’s Career and Technical Education (CTE) and CTSO opportunities, this conference is helping prepare our students to be entirely College-and-Career Ready.

This week is Alabama Free College Application Week, and Jefferson State Community College (JSCC) is proudly participating!
Last week, students from the MCS Tech Park veterinary science program toured the JSCC campus. They learned firsthand about the college's wide variety of health programs, including veterinary technology, and discovered JSCC's extensive offerings:
• 48 career and technical programs.
• 113 transfer programs.
• 107 different dual enrollment courses.
This is an incredible opportunity for students to take the next step in their education without the barrier of an application fee.

Alabama's Free College Application Week is October 5-9! Starting today, students have the opportunity to apply to participating colleges and universities for FREE! During this week, many colleges and universities are waiving the application fee. Some of these schools may require an application code! If you have any questions or need help, please see your career coach!
Seniors, there is no better time than the present to take the next step toward your future!

Socktober is part of JAG's state-wide service project!
Socks are the #1 requested item in shelters, and our goal is to donate at least 250 pairs of socks for those in our area who need them.
If you would like to donate new socks, please drop them off at the Brewer High School office or contact Mrs. Faulkner for more information! Thank you for supporting JAG of Morgan County!

Mark your calendars! Your career tech student and the faculty and staff of MCS Technology Park would like to formally invite you to our Tech & Treat Open House on Tuesday, October 27, from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM.

We are excited to showcase our programs and all that our students accomplish! This evening is a fantastic opportunity to step into the career tech education classrooms, kitchen, and workshops. You will get a firsthand look at the industry-level skills, credentials, and hands-on projects our students are mastering in programs like mechatronics, health science, culinary, JROTC, welding, and more.
To make the evening easier for busy schedules, we are offering a free supper for all attending families, and our Common Grounds Cafe will be open for you to enjoy.

Come see where future careers begin and enjoy a night out with our school community. We look forward to celebrating our students' hard work with you!

What a wonderful day to be a part of MCS Technology Park! 🌟
Our incredible CTE teachers and student volunteers showcased their programs today to 8th graders from across the county at the Endless Opportunities event at Ingall’s Harbor! From hands-on CTE classes to local colleges and industries, these students got a firsthand look at what their futures could hold. 🚀
A huge thank you to our dedicated teachers and student volunteers for taking such pride in their programs and representing us so well! We also want to extend our gratitude to the Morgan County Chamber of Commerce for hosting such a successful, impactful event! 🤝✨

Wallace State Community College is hosting a Work-Based Learning Open House on October 1 from 5:30 pm to 7:00 pm in the Bailey Center. Students will hear from industry employers, meet current students, talk to WSCC faculty, and more!
