Join The Next LIVESTRONG® Sessions!

RECOVER AND RECLAIM: Cancer is a life-changing disease that takes a tremendous physical and emotional toll on those affected. LIVESTRONG® at the YMCA supports cancer survivors and their families through its no-cost program that provides opportunities to engage in physical and social activities focused on strengthening the whole person.

Info Sessions: September 12 at 11AM & September 22 at 6:30PM
Session Dates: September 29 – December 17
Tuesday and Thursday from 11:30AM – 12:45PM, and will be offered in both English & Spanish.

Every Y Story Matters: We are honored to share Gwen's story and the impact of the Y during a time of tremendous uncertainty. Gwen, a mother of six, and her family were unexpectedly displaced following a fire in the Red Rocks Preserve area. Faced with sudden housing instability and living temporarily in hotel rooms, Gwen was searching for opportunities that would provide her children with a sense of normalcy, belonging, and the freedom to simply be kids.

Through the YMCA's commitment to ensuring access for all, Gwen was able to receive a family membership and enroll her children in summer camp at no cost, providing her entire family with access to a supportive community and a safe, welcoming environment.

During her visit to the branch, Gwen shared her family's challenges with one of our leaders and expressed immense gratitude for the support she received. Today, Gwen and her children have a place where they can connect, grow, and feel supported, which is a powerful reminder of the YMCA's mission to strengthen communities and ensure that everyone can thrive.

Calling all Lifeguards! Join us at Somerville YMCA 8/8 for The Red Cross Lifeguard Recertification Class! This comprehensive training program will equip you with essential lifesaving skills and certifications, preparing you to become a confident and capable lifeguard.

We are pleased to announce that Vernecia (Vee) Adams has joined Greater Somerset County YMCA as the Youth Program Director in our Somerville/Bridgewater branches.

Vee brings over a decade of experience in business growth and operational leadership. She successfully scaled a fitness enterprise from inception to six-figure revenue by converting community engagement into sustainable long-term growth. She holds 5+ accredited fitness and wellness certifications and possesses professional experience in youth-focused school environments.
