Farmers will be out working and so will the migrant farm labor they depend upon to operate their farms during the winter season. Some migrant workers will also be working to help prepare for those who will work their lands in the coming weeks to be ready for planting season this spring.

We had a wonderful time at the Mercer County Public Library on Dec 10 from 5-7pm!

The kids enjoyed pizza, drinks, face painting, and a special reading from Santa. They also made their own stockings and received gifts!

Casey MEP Hosts a Successful PAC Meeting today at the Bread of Life restaurant.
The Casey Migrant Education Program (MEP) recently held a Parent Advisory Council (PAC) meeting. During the meeting, Mandy and Susan led a discussion on the purpose and importance of the PAC.

Key topics included:

- The significance of reading for students of all ages, from early childhood to high school
- Community resources and partnerships, such as:
- 4-H camp
- Local food pantry
- Casey Public Library

The meeting aimed to inform and engage parents, promoting a collaborative approach to supporting migrant students' education and well-being.

The Southern Fall Regional PAC Meeting was held at the Boyle County Extension Office. We had parents representing districts including Boyle, Danville, Casey, Jessamine, Woodford, Wayne, Madison/Berea, Lincoln, and Rockcastle. Our theme focused on Preschool, Community Resources, and Infinite Campus.

Our guest speakers were:
